I have decided to take my scrapbooking to another level, I planned my neices birthday party back in June and I showed my coworkers my invitations I made and party decor that I printed or made. Well everyone loved them, well said they did anyways. So after talking to a few friends of mine I decided that I'm going to start making invitations and party decor and see how that goes.  :) I'm excited!! Birthday Party

This is my first time to ever plan a party and let me tell you I loved every single minute of it! The planning, organizing, decorating, making invites, sending them out…EVERYTHING!!  I so would love to start a business  doing this.So now lets look at some pictures!

Details of the party!

 

Stormy and I went shopping for some party decorations one day and we noticed a local store had a fairy made out of stone. So of course I had to order a fairy and a gnome.

The Fairies I made with dollar store mermaids, I just removed the tails and glued flower petals for the dress and the wings. They are adorable “flying in the air”

Can’t forget about the gnome in a jar. My aunt actually took some home to put in her kitchen.

Amanda was a little confused, she didn’t know if she wanted to be a gnome or a fairy so she was a gnomefairy.

 

I made theses frames to add to the pictures  to make them look all cute and everything on the blog, but I was too lazy to actually use them for this. So you can grab them and hopefully use them!

When I first saw GNOME SWEET GNOME by Dani Mogstad; I feel in love with it, I had to have it.

The kit:

( You will see a cute little fairy in some of my pictures, the fairy is not in the kit! My friend Starving Artist Designs made the fairy template for me, and I just clipped the papers from this kit to finish off the fairy!)

So what was I going to do with this kit?? Party Invites, well so much more!!! I made invites, present decor, a banner, and I even printed, cut, and laminate the little gnome people to but on the goodie bags.

Goodie Bag Decor:

I haven't got the bags yet, but I think I might go with brown paper sacks since I have these name tags printed out. I also have a gnome character printed, cut, and laminated to stick on the bag as well.

I just bought plain wrapping paper and printed out these adorable tags and pictures:)

I went the cheap way and bought poster boards and paint (since I could only find white, black and neon orange and yellow) to make my gnome hates. They aren't perfect but hey I figured they would only be worn for a few minutes anyways.

I also made the beards using felt :)

I saved a lot of $$$$$ making them myself and I am very pleased!

O yea sorry about that I almost forgot the freebie!

Fairy Gnome Party Post One

I love gnomes and fairies and well anything magicial! When I have a child, his or her, room will be done in the woodland/gnome/fairy theme. Well since that won't be happening for a long time, and I have all these thoughts running through my head. I asked my niece if she would like to her party done in it. An outdoor birthday party..let's see if I can do this! lol (thankfully her bday isn't till the beginning of June)

What started this project: gnomes I saw at Dollar General

Stormy wanted to go to the dollar tree and while we were there I saw moss and these: (image is from HERE, but not exactly what I got) Then my niece had to have one jar for a school project, but my sister had to buy a dozen, so what could I do with the jars? GNOME IN A JAR! (see pictures below) Stormy keeps trying to let them out to play, but I keep telling her they will run away!

I saw the cutest fairy doors on esty, but I think mine are pretty cute! So far I have two doors and one window. The doors are made with popiscle sticks that I hot glued together, then glued a button or gem on for the door knob. Added a few stickers and a gnome sweet gnome sign on one door. The windows are also made using the sticks, just cut in smaller sizes and added curtains. The sign in front of the door (yes I know it didn't turn out I really was in hurry, my dog and cats wanted to attack the gnomes!) is actually part of a birthday card, it was just the perfect size! Well thats pretty much all I have done at the moment.

Have you seen this?? I have a HUGE FAN of Britt-ish designs, and its not just because we share the same name! Sahlin Studio is another awesome designer so I cannot WAIT to see their new products!! I'm sure its going to be amazing!!

I can't wait to get these vday cards printed out, I think they turned out to be adorable! I used the very adorable Zebra Prints Paperpack and Valentine's Goodies to make the cards!

OMGOSH! A FREEBIE!!

It's been a very long time since I have posted on this thing! I haven't been able to design in soo long and I have missed it! I whipped up a little vday mini kit today :) (Since I been snowed in for 5 days!!) Did I mention how bad I missed designing?? Did you see my new logo? I'm trying to find a perfect logo for me. .. I get called Princess or Queen Britt a lot so I figured I should have a crown huh? It's only natural! Well this kit is only going to be available a few days so grab it while you can!

Wow, this is taking longer than it should. I really wish I wouldn't have lost anything. I had a mini kit finished, started on a pregnancy kit and baby kit. But now I'm stuck designing anything I don't know what to do. I really hate being like this what do you do to get out of a "slump"? Links expired!
